Vet Axis Privacy Policy

Vet Axis provides veterinary education, exam-preparation, question-bank, testing, notes, Community, recruitment and related learner services through vetaxisone.com and the Vet Axis mobile application.

1. Scope and Indian legal context

This Privacy Policy explains how Vet Axis collects, uses, stores, shares and protects personal data. Vet Axis is based in India and intends to handle personal data in accordance with applicable Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and, as relevant provisions come into force, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025.

2. Information we collect

We may collect account information such as your name, email address, Firebase user identifier, selected exam, account settings and verification status. We also process learning activity such as Practice attempts, Test attempts, answers, scores, accuracy, rankings where available, subject progress, recent activity, bookmarks or similar study interactions.

We may process Community information that you choose to submit, including questions, replies, learner-created quizzes, reports and block preferences. Recruitment interactions may include the notices you view or the official external links you choose to open.

For purchases, Vet Axis receives transaction and entitlement information needed to provide access. Android digital purchases use Google Play Billing. Website payments may use Razorpay. Vet Axis does not receive or store your full card, UPI PIN or Google Play payment credentials.

If you enable notifications, the service may process device or push-notification identifiers needed to deliver alerts. Technical information such as request metadata, timestamps and security logs may be processed to operate and protect the service.

3. How we use information

We use personal data to create and authenticate accounts, verify email ownership, deliver study content, record attempts and progress, calculate results and analytics, provide paid access, operate Community features, show recruitment notices, send service notifications, prevent abuse and fraud, troubleshoot problems, enforce platform rules and respond to legitimate user requests.

4. Service providers and sharing

Vet Axis may use service providers that are necessary to operate the platform. These may include Google Firebase and Google Cloud for authentication, databases, hosting and backend services; Google Play for Android in-app digital purchases; Razorpay for website payments; Expo-related services for supported mobile notification functions; and an email-delivery provider when secure verification-code email delivery is enabled.

Vet Axis does not sell personal data to advertisers. Personal data may be disclosed to service providers acting for Vet Axis, when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, to investigate abuse or fraud, to comply with applicable law or valid legal process, or in connection with a legitimate business reorganisation subject to appropriate safeguards.

5. Community and user-generated content

Community posts, replies and learner-created quizzes are user-generated content and may be visible to other signed-in users. Do not post confidential, highly sensitive or unnecessary personal information about yourself or another person. Vet Axis may process reports, moderation records and block relationships to enforce Community rules and protect users.

6. Security

Vet Axis uses measures such as Firebase authentication, verified-email checks, protected server APIs, access controls, administrative multi-factor authentication, database security rules and separated answer-key data where implemented. No internet service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

7. Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain account and learning history, enforce security and Community rules, resolve disputes, meet accounting needs and comply with legal obligations. Retention periods may differ by data type. Information that is no longer reasonably required may be deleted, anonymised or retained in restricted form where permitted or required.

8. Account deletion and privacy requests

You can use Vet Axis account-deletion features to request permanent deletion of your account and associated service data. Some limited transaction, security or legal records may be retained where reasonably necessary for accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling or legal compliance. Privacy or data requests can also be submitted by email to vet.dr.taruna@gmail.com.

9. Children and younger learners

Vet Axis is an education service and may be used by younger learners. Where applicable law requires parent or guardian involvement, consent or other safeguards for a child, Vet Axis intends to apply those requirements as they become applicable to the service. Users should not submit unnecessary sensitive information about children through Community or support features.

10. Third-party links

Recruitment notices, payment flows and other parts of Vet Axis may link to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Review those policies before providing information directly to a third party.

11. Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law and technical limitations, you may be able to access or update account information, request correction, request deletion, withdraw optional permissions such as push notifications, or raise a privacy question or grievance. Some requests may require identity verification before action is taken.
